Contemporary Monsters
Somber, dark and dreamlike – Contemporary Monsters features artists dealing with the reality of the human animal, submerging us into ‘our every day animals or our monstrous selves’, the hidden inner beings that we repress in order to become part of civilized society. These are not purely mythical creatures, but ones that we encounter each and everyday in art, TV, literature, cinema, our memories, as we walk through the streets or most disturbingly in the mirror.
Participating artist are Cynthia Consentino, John DeFazio, Arthur Gonzalez, Michael Lucero, Tom Bartel, Wesley Anderegg and guest curator Edith Garcia.
